Barrie Annual Golf Tournament
Well it was this time again. Our council on June 14, 2008 sent two teams to Bear Creek to compete for the coveted trophy. Team 1 consisted of Bill Eek, Wayne Gibson, Steve Kanyo and Mark Yaremko. This foursome enjoyed a fantastic day finishing at six under par. A great score even though they left quite a few putts on the course. Team 2 consisted of Robert Ben, Archie Deridder, Manuel Duarte and Paul Dubois. They finished at three under even after a rocky start of two over after two holes. They did manage to get one eagle for their day along with 3 birdies. They putted well but fell short on their approaches to the greens. Was a fantastic sunny day on the links followed by a marvelous dinner at the Barrie Knights house. Our council would love to send a third team to next years event.
